Made by Italian manufacturer Necta, whose parentage includes companies like Wittenborg coffee vending machines as part of Evoca Group, the Koro Prime is a mid-sized touch button bean-to-cup coffee machine.
Using fresh coffee beans and two powdered vending ingredients – skimmed milk powder and powdered hot chocolate – the Necta Koro Prime coffee machine automatically prepares caffe latte, cappuccino, espresso, americano, hot chocolate, mocha, café crème and hot water for tea or soup at the touch of a button.
Our Experience With This Coffee Machine:
Offering a blend of performance and value, the Necta Koro Max Prime has given us a few surprises… for example, despite being a comparatively small machine, one located at a car showroom actually vended 80,000 drinks in its service life!
Well-proven and reliable coffee brewing technology with several ‘scaled-up’ models like the Korinto and Krea Touch coffee machine mean that the Necta stable of equipment – which is growing fast – are great options for those needing a table top coffee machine.
Using powdered pure skimmed milk to make cappuccino and caffe latte drinks does mean that this coffee machine makes a much superior drink to the coffee vending machines of the 1990’s.
The drink quality however, is not quite up to coffee shop standard as might be achieved with a fresh milk bean-to-cup machine like the Gaggia Radiosa on the right hand side below.
The trade off is that in general this coffee machine is a little easier to clean and that convenience can be a bonus with harassed staff and perhaps having some still working from home.
A fresh milk coffee machine, good as they are for drink quality, simply will not tolerate a lack of cleaning whereas with the Koro you will get more drinks before you must clean it.
Who Uses The Necta Koro Prime Coffee Machine?
Workplaces and offices are the normal venue for the Necta Koro Max machine where the consistent drink quality, low drink cost, fast vend, and availability of both plumbed in or hand fill versions at reasonable prices to both purchase or on a 3 year lease rental deal are all key factors.
Who Doesn’t Use This Coffee Machine?
Some hotels have used this type of machine due to the easy self-service use but generally you won’t see them in hospitality outlets like restaurants, bars, coffee shops or public houses.
These sites, which generally sell coffees, are more suited to the Gaggia Radiosa or commercial espresso coffee machines with a separate coffee beans grinder and barista training for your staff.
Video And WhatsApp Demonstrations
We are more than happy to arrange in-person demonstrations of the Necta Koro Max Prime coffee machine at both our Falkirk or central London showroom or over WhatsApp or Teams virtual meeting.
As a start, why not take a tour of the machine with our video below? Savour the sight and sounds although not quite the coffee aromas and taste from your office or home!
Staff Training
We offer full staff training when your coffee machine is installed so that it becomes easier and faster to stock and clean the machine or change the hot chocolate whipper bowl and seals.
Installation Requirements
It is better, if possible, to have the Koro Prime machine plumbed into the mains water supply although if this is not available there is a version with a clever hand-fill cold water tank, please just call on 01324 617618 to discuss this. You only require a simple 3-pin socket for power to the machine.
Water Filtration Requirements
Where the coffee machine is plumbed in it needs an appropriate water filter for soft water – generally Cumbria, Scotland and Devon or Cornwall – where we would supply a GAC (granular activated carbon) or else a softener water filter for the London, the south east, midlands and Yorkshire areas where the water has more limescale in it.
Which Ingredients Do I Need With This Machine?
We supply a range of 8 different fresh coffee beans, and any can be used in the Koro Prime although Caffia Espresso Crema coffee beans is far and away the most popular!
You can’t buy a coffee like our Crema beans at ASDA or cash and carry, it’s the penetration of coffee blending know-how and understanding that makes a truly Italian taste.
